Rogers, AR, October 1, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Life Style Dentistry, a dental practice located in Rogers, will sponsor a hole at the 2015 United Cerebral Palsy Golf Challenge on October 8 at the Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club in Fayetteville.
United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas (UCP), one of the largest non-profit agencies in the state, supports Arkansans struggling with disability.
UCP is a statewide non-profit organization that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities, according to the UCP website. UCP was incorporated in 1957, for parents of children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities who could not find assistance. About 65 percent of the people UCP serves have a disability other than cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is a prevalent motor disability worldwide and many families struggle to support family members with cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is the most common motor disability in childhood, according to the CDC. Population-based studies from around the world report prevalence estimates of cerebral palsy ranging from 1.5 to more than 4 per 1,000 live births or children of a defined age range, according to the CDC.
