Highlands Oncology Group Will Welcome a New Physician to Cancer Treatment Center

Highlands Oncology Group (HOG), a northwest Arkansas-based comprehensive cancer center, will welcome a new physician to their practice this summer.

HOG is excited to welcome Brooke E. Brander, D.O., to their team. Dr. Brander will join HOG July 1st.

Brander received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas where she studied zoology, biology and French. In 2005, Brander graduated from the Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She later completed her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock where she continued to receive specialized training with a fellowship in hematology/oncology.

Dr. Brander is board certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine for medical oncology, internal medicine, and hematology. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, The American Society of Hematology and The Arkansas Medical Society. Outside her daily clinical practice, she enjoys kayaking, fishing and spending time outdoors with family.

The National Cancer Institute projects that there will be 1,658,370 newly diagnosed cases of cancer in the United States in 2015.  Advancement in cancer treatment and ongoing research is imperative to those who are diagnosed.  HOG is committed to this advancement of treatment and assembling the core team of specially trained physicians is an indispensable step.
